Extensive experience as a writer, copy editor, journalist, and producer of television, video, and film.
I launched my career as a freelance radio journalist in East Africa before returning to the U.S. and joining CNN as a producer, first in the newsroom and then in the investigative and documentary unit. Since leaving CNN, I have taught broadcast journalism at George Mason University, and built a freelance career as a documentary filmmaker, video and television producer, writer, researcher, and copy editor.
